Yungdrung-Bön ist eine uralte, spirituelle Tradition, die in vorhistorischer Zeit aus Zentral-Asien nach Tibet kam. Begründer ist ein vollkommen erleuchteter Buddha namens Tönpa Shenrab Miwoche. Seine Lehren gliedern sich in 9 Fahrzeuge. Die oberen 5 zielen auf Erleuchtung und Buddhaschaft, die unteren 4 auf Verbesserung der Lebensumstände.
