The woman who falsely accused football star Brian Banks of raping her is being forced to pay big time. 6 million to Banks for ruining his life with false allegations. The lies caused him to lose numerous scholarship offers to college and also led to a prison sentence of over five years. Also not mentioned here is that he plead guilt.

That said, I want to offer a point of clarification on the story that ran in our university newspaper today. 8221; was an interpretation of my story by the journalist. There are understandably some mis-quotes and missing information. This seems to be part of the deal with any story. The quibble I have with the re-telling lies in the third paragraph.
