One day at a time i am no longer drunk and eating disordered. Today my selfcare step was small. it got to be 11pm and i thought, what have i done for ME today? So, tonight, i took care of myself by exercising.
Now, sober and recovering, i realize there is no. Yes do i have goals for the future? Of course. but it is only in this moment, right now, that i can do the things that will get me to where i want to be. Work but i feel differently than i ever have. treatment, support groups, therapy, nutrition, help of any sort; these all used to feel like work because they felt obligatory.
