I wrote in a sickeningly sweet tone, and aspired to kawaii-dome. I conceived of a pen name, Yume Otaki, the representation of everything I wanted to be. And I started an anime blog before attending my first anime convention. Otaku girl is now 18. Still precocious, still awkward. The Otaku Girl grew up.
