The other side of Jim Shampine. Why I chose Jim Shampine. Jim Shampine was an infamous racecar driver at Oswego Speedway. He revolutionized the way the Super-Modified racecars are run today. People said he was before his time, perhaps he was. Unlike my father, I did not have the privilege of knowing him , since he died in 1981 and I was born in 1989.
