December 31st; The End. So here I am, a few meager hours separating me from the end. December 30th; Day 364. Tomorrow is the last day of my project.
Adventures of an expat in India. I got a phone call this morning from our driver. Sir, are the children at home? I caught a small cobra over here at SAP and I want to bring it over there to show them. I suspected another harmless rat snake, because last week he brought a rat snake from the office campus. This sign is across the street from the ITPL.
The past couple of weeks have been quite a whirlwind. The last day of school came and went, some goodbyes were said and then we headed off for our last trip of this year. Adam and Michael with their new kazoos. the man did turn all the way around to stare at them. After that we went back down into Italy and spent a day in Manto.
Wednesday, January 28, 2009. In spite of Paul and I leaving. We were thrown out! The library project was a success thanks to all of your generous donations. That means that the Kenyan staff will be able to fill the library with all new, culturally relevant books, maps and other materials.
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Well, this is Melbourne, part of the central business district, at night, obviously. The river is the Yarra river. This is the beach at St. kilda, a short tram ride away. I went here for the day with Michael, a german guy from my hostel. The water was freezing and it was overcast for most of the day, so it reminded me of home, in a nice way. And this is my new Canon!
