A Scone equine vet says the detection of the Hendra virus in New South Wales is particularly concerning with many horses preparing to come into the Hunter for the breeding season. One horse in northern New South Wales and two in Queensland have been confirmed as having the Hendra virus. A number of people are also being tested for the deadly disease.
